How to Choose Faction and Race?

Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

Given that you are a new player, maybe you don't know how to choose faction and race, if no, this information is very important for your reference. Let us take a quick look at them.
There are different factions or sided in World of Warcraft such as the Alliance and the Horde. Now you may hear that Blizzard is more partial to one side or the other. The Alliance will say that Blizzard is partial to them by reason that their areas are prettier and they seem more like fantasy literature or RP games. However, Horde players will say that Blizzard is partial to them because there is less area in the leveling path where you have to grind to level and for some of the great perks that the Horde gets.
If you want to play a specific side and you want to find a server that is pretty close to equal or that is more in your faction's favor,
There are five races to choose from each faction. The Alliance races are Draenei, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans and Night Elves whereas the Horde races are Blood Elves, Undead, Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls. Each race will have different racial traits and specializations that will benefit you in game. There aren't really too many differences in the traits and other differences in the races except for looks and faction. Most players already have a specific race that they want to play when they start the game, and you simply need to go through them to see which one appeals to you the most.
To some extent, some races will allow you to play certain classes of toons and others will not. Let us take Paladin and Shaman as example. On the Horde side the Paladin can only be played with a Blood Elf whereas on the Alliance side it can be played by a couple of classes. And on the Horde side the Shaman can be played by several different races and on the Alliance side it can by played only on the Draenei. So, look through the different races and see which classes are offered for that specific race. We will go through the different classes in the next part of this mini guide so you will be able to see which one appeals to your gaming style best. As you level your toon up, the racial differences the tiny buffs will give at the beginning won't matter much at all, and the only difference will be in looks.
With the exception of the Alliance Dwarves and Gnomes, each different race will have a different starting zone, but the Horde Orc and trolls they start in the same faction starting zones. Now, keep in mind that the Alliance and Horde distinction is a massively important one. You won't have much interaction with the other faction in the starting areas, but as you progress through the game, you will cross paths. You will be teased, spat upon, called a chicken, and more, especially if you are on Player vs. Player server.
All in all, race comes down to your chosen faction and which one appeals to you the most. As a result, you want to play the race that you prefer and not based on the tiny buffs that are offered at the beginning of the game.
