In the new World of Warcraft PTR patch 3.0.8, Paladin didn't change much, but how do you play your Paladin next step?
Paladins
Devotion aura: When mixing two different ranks of this ability in a party, players will no longer sometimes see a spurious second copy of the buff.
Hand of Freedom: Now works properly against the froststorm Breath Hunter pet ability.
Judgement of Blood, Judgement of Command, and Judgement of the Martyr will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.
Judgement of Light: The tooltip has been corrected to remove the implication that it only works on melee attacks.
Judgment of the Wise: The amount of mana gained has been corrected to match the tooltip.
Pure of Heart: This talent will no longer cause Curse of Agony to do more damage than intended.
Repentance: Avenger's Shield no longer breaks Repentance, but unfortunately, Seal of Vengeance and Corruption damage will break it again. This will be corrected in a future patch.
Righteous Vengeance: This talent will now calculate its damage correctly when the damage is absorbed. In addition this ability will no longer cause excessive damage when refreshed on targets with damage reduction effects active.
Seal of Command: The tooltip has been adjusted to show the damage gained from spell power.
Shield of Righteousness now properly shares a cooldown for both ranks.
Eight changes for Paladins, but how to level it? Three powerful Paladin strategy tips in the following:
Use hammer of justice to disrupt spell casters from applying their spells. Be certain that another player doesn't stun the monster prior to applying the Hammer of Justice. Speak to the players in the party about the Blessings they desire. If you are joined by an additional Paladin, discuss with them the auras and Blessings to be used. If a weak party member is attacked by a monster, subdue the monster with Hammer of Justice.
Choose the best professions for a Paladin.
Mining and Blacksmithing - Paladins have the ability to make their own armor. This represents a wise choice with Paladins.
Mining and Engineering - Paladins are able to make range weapons and valuable engineering items.
Enchanting - Paladins are able to enchant equipment which makes them more powerful.
Herbalism and Alchemy - Paladins are able to make buff potions and/or healing potions.
Selecting equipment for a Paladin. Select items that provide endurance and defense and provide endurance and defense. Both have their uses. A two-handed weapon can be very effective against monsters that have great amounts of armor. A one-handed weapon can be more effective against monsters you desire to disrupt, especially if they have a smaller amount of armor. Paladins are able to secure a custom armored Warhorse by using a quest at level 40 and level 60. Paladin Epic Mount quest: When you start, speak with the paladin trainers Duthroian Rall or Brandur Ironhammer. Paladins that have finished a Epic Mount quest are able to do the final event again in Scholomance for enjoyment by talking to Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker.
