At present, the Buddy program is EVE Online subscribers that want to enable their friends to try out EVE Online without any obligations. Since the Buddy Program has announced and have been proven to be so popular, so EVE have decided to extend the program through the Christmas season. From now until 5 January 2009 you can invite your friends to EVE Online for a special 21-day trial. If they become subscribers, you will get 30 days of game time added to your account.

If you play EVE Online and always find yourself explaining to your friends they should give it a try, well now is your chance to hook them. Not only that, but whomever gets the most friends to sign up will be the owner of a:
"Special Edition Commodore EVE Rig. The EVE DEV team will sign the rig, so this is a real collector's item."
You have until the start of EVE's Fan Fest which means from now until November 6th. As always there are details and rules as well as some photos of the stunning looking computer rig at EVE Online.

Most of the players will compete to bring the largest number of new subscribers into the game. The winner will receive a Special Edition Commodore EVE Rig. The EVE DEV team will sign the rig, so this is a real collector's item.
