Enchanting Preparation
Due to the large volume of materials you are going to be gathering you may want to consider making a bank alt. You can mail items back and forth between your bank alt and your main as you need them. Bank alts are really handy for storage.
A good place to get materials is from the auction house. However I wouldn't recommend buying the raw materials to level with unless you absolutely have to. Instead I suggest you buy items such as weapons and armor off the auction house to disenchant. I was able to collect a large supply of materials doing this at only a fraction of the cost of buying raw materials.
Enchanting Tools
To enchant items requires the enchanter to have a runed rod. As you increase you level you will need to create higher level runed rods. You will need to buy the raw material rods from a blacksmith or off the auction house, your first rod, the copper rod, can be bought from an enchanting supplies vendor. As you increase you level you will also incorporate your previous rod into the new one, but you still have to buy a new raw material rod.
Raw rods you will need:
Copper Rod
Silver Rod
Golden Rod
Truesilver Rod
Arcanite Rod
Fel Iron Rod
Adamantine Rod
Eternium Rod
Enchanting 1 - 50
Now you are ready to start leveling your enchanting. The first step is to make your first rod. You need to create a runed copper rod. After you do this, you are going to be disenchanting items for your initial points. You should be able to level to 50 with simply disenchanting green items. If you need to, you can buy cheap low level green items on the auction house to disenchant. Be sure to keep the materials you get, you may need them later. If for whatever reason you can't level to 50 with disenchanting, you can enchant a bracer over and over with minor health.
After you reach 50 skill, and are at least level 10, you'll need to speak to the trainer and learn Journeyman Enchanter.
Enchanting 50 - 125
Continue enchanting a bracer with minor health until you reach 75 skill. After that switch to minor deflection on the bracer until you are at 85 skill.
At that point you should use minor stamina on the bracer until you reach 105 skill. Once you reach 105 skill you can create a runed silver rod, so go ahead and make yourself one.
After you make your rod, begin using minor agility on the bracer until you are at 120 skill. Then use minor stamina on a shield until you are 125.
At 125 skill you will need to speak to a trainer and learn Expert Enchanter. Your character will also have to be at least level 20.
Enchanting 125 - 225
Continue using minor stamina on a shield until you are at 130 skill. Then switch to using lesser stamina on a bracer until you are at 150 skill. At 150 skill you can create a runed golden rod. Make one since you are going to need it later on.
After you make a runed golden rod, continue using lesser stamina on a bracer until you are at 160 skill. Then begin using lesser stamina on a shield until you are at 165 skill. After that begin using spirit enchant on a bracer until you are at 185 skill. At skill level 185 start using strength on a bracer until you are at 200 skill.
At skill level 200 make a runed truesilver rod. Then continue using strength on a bracer until you are at 205 skill level. At 205 begin using greater defense on a cloak until you are at 225 skill.
