It is a fact that you can count on your fishing skill all the way to make some wow gold. One is Rockfin Grouper. The moderate value Rockfin Grouper is used in 2 Wrath of the Lich King recipes and only one of these makes a buff food. They sell for moderate world gold on the Auction House since they are usually in good supply.
The other is imperial manta ray. The high value Manta Rays are used in 2 very desirable Wrath of the Lich King buff recipes and therefore sell for a nice amount of warcraft gold.
The third is Borean Man o' War. It is low value and not currently used in any Wrath of the Lich King recipe, which is odd considering there are pools of these to fish along the coast of Northrend. We highly recommend that you should save these for future gold making because we trust that there will be a Wrath of the Lich King recipe that uses this fish in a forthcoming patch.
The last one is Dark-water Clams. The succulent clam meat from dark-water clams is used in two desirable Wrath of the Lich King recipes. The first one makes a buff food and the other makes an achievement food. The clam meat itself sells well, and you can also get two gems from these clams such as North Sea Pearl and Siren's Tear. Siren's Tears sell extremely well on the Auction House over 100 gold on most servers.
