Things You Do As a DK When You Are At Level 80

Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

You are a new level 80 Death Knight and have made your triumphant return to Ebon Hold to train your level 80 skills and hearthed back to Dalaran and now you're hanging out in front of the bank on your favorite mount. And you have no idea what to do next. It is not necessary for you to worry about this as here we will give you a list of things you will have to do.
The first thing is to choose your weapon. Once you have hit 80 as a 2-handed weapon wielder, there are three major weapons you want to start shooting for such as the Titansteel Destroyer, the Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver and the Sword of Justice. Let us take a look at these three choices and the pros as well as cons.
The Titansteel Destroyer is a blacksmithed weapon, which is a very popular target for new 80 Death Knights. Hard hitting and relatively slow, it's perfect for getting the most damage out your weapon strikes. Plus, the strength, stamina and hit rating are all incredibly nice for a DK whether you're a tank or a DPSer. Just be prepared to drop around 2-3k gold worth of mats to make it.
The Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver is an axe, dropping off Loken in Heroic Halls of Lightning and if you don't have the patience or money to get the mats for the Titansteel Destroyer, it's a pretty decent replacement, with the exact same DPS, weapon speed and damage range. The one major problem comes with the stats on the weapon, which includes the less useful haste and agility stats. If you're tanking, that agility may push the Skull-Clad Cleaver over the Destroyer because of the extra avoidance and this sword will be cheaper than the Titansteel Destroyer.
The Sword of Justice weapon drops from the Tribunal Chest at the end of Heroic Halls of Stone. It is the dark horse of level DK weapons and has lower DPS but has higher top end damage, which makes weapon strikes hit harder and makes it more comparable to the above weapons than one might first think. The stats are nice, featuring much strength, stamina, critical strike rating, and a red gem socket for further customization. Finally, it's a sword, which is nice for DK Purists and humans.
The second thing is to grab defense trinkets. If Loken won't drop your Seal of the Pantheon, there're other quick and dirty ways to get defense on a trinket. You may take the following two defense trinkets into consideration when picking up in Outland.
