Blacksmithing – blacksmiths can create weapons, armors and keys which are used to unlock items. Blacksmiths use the raw materials gathered by miners in order to create unique armors and weapons. Upon reaching level 200, players can choose a specialization: Weaponsmithing or Armorsmithing.
Engineering – engineers can create various items and explosives that grants different effects when used. Engineers are viewed as a suitable profession for players that like participating in PvP. Upon reaching 200, engineers can either specialize in Gnomish or Goblin engineering.
Leatherworking – this profession makes full use of the raw materials gathered by skinning. Leatherworkers can create cloaks, quivers, leather and mail armors and ammunition pouches. Leatherworking is mainly used to create armors suitable for Druids, Rogues, Hunters and Shamans.
Tailoring – allows players to create bags, shirts and armors by weaving different type of cloth available in World of Warcraft. The atmors created through tailoring are used by Mages, Priests and Warlocks.
Jewelcrafting – this profession was introduced during the Burning Crusade expansion and allows players to create accessories such as rings and necklaces. Jewelcrafters are also responsible for creating gems that can be placed in the sockets of items.
