Rogues: Surrounded by trash mobs? Rogues will now have a new area-effect ability, provided you enjoy playing with knives... lots of knives. The sapping skill is also getting a revamp, allowing Rogues to use it in more situations. Finally, everyone associates daggers and poisons with Rogues, but as the game has evolved, nobody really uses these. The design team is trying to bring the Rogues back home, so expect more viable uses for daggers and poisons.
Warriors: The Protection talent tree is all about tanking, but the team is giving Warriors some additional "toys" to play with. A lot of mitigation talents are being combined together, so players will be able to spend their talent points on "fun stuff" instead of using all the points on must-have tanking skills. Similarly, the Arms talent tree is getting more options (the "Overpower," "Bladestorm," and "Sudden Death" abilities were mentioned in particular), which gives players more flexibility should they choose to explore this tree. As for Fury Warriors, two words: "Titan's Grip." Dual-wielding two-handed weapons is devastating, and the designers will be encouraging players to take advantage.
Warlock: Judging by the Q&A period afterwards, there were a lot of Warlocks in the crowd. One of the big issues the team wanted to address is giving Warlocks more pet options -- as it stands, a couple of pets are central to the class and the others are novelties, which the team will address. Also in the works are more interesting Warlock attack rotations; some strategies are too complex, others involve hitting the same ability over and over again, and the team would rather mix it up. A new "Demonic Circle" ability will allow Warlocks to pop around the battlefield. And the big new addition? "Metamorphosis." "Because," Street explains, "Every Warlock secretly wants to be Illidan."
Paladin: Finally the Paladin class appeared on its own slide. The crowd went out of control, some players cheering, others booing. Street started off by saying that he was proud of how the Seals and Judgment overhaul turned out in beta. The Holy talent tree is being tweaked, giving players more options for healing while moving or healing groups. The Retribution talent tree is also getting a revamp, mostly to ensure that the class can more effectively crank out DPS and not run out of mana as easily.
