Likewise Blizzard can make these core spells cost more mana in the forms if balance becomes an issue. All forms should be able to use items, which would aid in self-reliance. Further, Druids should be able to switch from form to form without having to return to the base form; there should be little or no mana cost for morphing and barely any cool down. This would allow the class to fully realize its versatility by being able to change forms/roles quickly and efficiently.
But bear form needs some serious overhauling, because no Druid in his or her right mind would attempt to tank in this form. These include the fact that buffs disappear when in the any form, lower DPS than Druid form because it is using its base weapon, and extra armor not transferring over. Aside from these bugs there are still some significant issues, for example the bear form needs some heals and spells to make it more unique from a pure Warrior. This form should get rejuvenation as its bread and butter heal and wrath of nature. Another spell to consider is faerie fire as a viable replacement for the Warrior's sunder armor. By the way, faerie fire could use an upgrade because sunder overpowers it right now. And also the bear needs a roar that gives his allies an attack bonus. These changes, plus a faster attack rate, will make the Druid's bear form an acceptable tank and still retain its uniqueness.
Cat form is in the same boat as well as bear form which has some bug issues. In terms of bugs the cat form needs a boost in DPS, because it is modifying DPS using the base weapon like the bear. In addition, it could use the upgraded faerie fire. To give the cat one or two poisons is another way for the devs, even if they are significantly weaker than the Rogue version. Perhaps cat form could have two levels of sprint, but it will be fine without it. However, the Druid definitely needs more DD abilities to build up combo points while dishing out some serious damage. In terms of healing, the cat should get a costly version of regrowth. This allows the Druid to be a Rogue with the ability to heal itself, if it is targeted or draws too much aggro. The cat should get no core attack spells.
