Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

The lure and appeal of the World of Warcraft is partly because of its very dark and mysterious lore. This chapter and those before it just tells us how chaos and destruction came to the world of Azeroth. After this, you can play the expansion with a clearer vision of the story in your mind. Knowing about the lore of a game you're in just adds more satisfaction to your playing the game and it makes the whole thing more interesting and engrossing. So read on for a summary of the third chapter in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion!

With Frostmourne in his hands, Prince Arthas returned to Lordaeron amidst joyful celebration for his success. However, the happiness was brief because not long after his arrival, Arthas stabbed his father with the blade. With the Lich King's voice in his head, Arthas also murdered the man who taught him everything about fighting, Uther the Lightbringer. He then gathered Kel'Thuzad's bones and proceeded to destroy the city he was born in. In the end, Capital City became as desolate as the Scourge-ravaged lands of the world.

The Shattering the Frozen Throne chapter continues with Arthas leading his undead army into the magical forests of Quel'Thalas. No one stood a chance to the power of his sword and Arthas was able to kill his way towards Silvermoon and lay claim on the powerful Sunwell. With the Sunwell's power, Arthas resurrected Kel'Thuzad into a lich. Not contented with this, Arthas and his army laid waste to the once glorious elven lands. Kel'Thuzad then managed to bring a powerful demon lord named Archimonde, he of the Burning Legion itself. Archimonde took over Arthas' role and Arthas traveled to Kalimdor. There, his path crossed with Illidan Stormrage.

Archimonde was defeated and the Legion was scattered. Arthas returned to Lordaeron where visions assailed him, signs that the Lich King's might was weakening. Arthas then traveled to Northrend again but he was stopped by elves who survived the Scourge and Illidan Stormrage himself. With the help of crypt lord Anub'Arak, Arthas escaped through the tunnels and reached the Lich King.

However, before the Shattering the Frozen Throne could occur, Arthsa was engaged in battle with Illidan Stormrage who has transformed into a demon. However, Illidan was no match for Arthas. He then went up the steps to the throne, and the voice inside his head told him to shatter the ice that encased the Lich King. After he did this, he then put on Ner'zhul's helmet. Finally, Ner'zhul, the Lich King and Arthas were one.

Right now, the Lich King awaits you. He awaits either your death or his. If you win, your glory will be unequaled. If you lose, your soul belongs to the Lich King... forever. Having a good guide will also greatly improve your game.
