Introduction to the Death Knight

Author: - Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

The Lich King has granted you immortality as you awaken standing in front of The Lich King himself. Your first task is to speak to Instructor Razuvious to learn Runeforging and on completion of these simple talk-to-quests you've gained almost a third of your level. Up to 16000 experience per quest is quite generous as Blizzard obviously intended that you'd level from 55-58 in Acherus and New Avalon.

"Razuvious sends you back to The Lich King to gather information about New Avalon."Razuvious sends you back to The Lich King to gather information about New Avalon. Later you will talk to Highlord Darion Mograine who sends you down to Death's Breach to infiltrate and take down the Scarlet Crusade. Once you reach Death's Breach you will have to learn how to mount up. Your quest is to steal a horse from the Scarlet Crusade and then go and hunt down a horseman and steal his Deathcharger. [wow gold] After you have received your mount it's time to venture further into New Avalon and hunt down the Scarlet Crusade.

Blizzard was really clever with making the starting area of New Avalon seem alive. For example the further you progress, the further into New Avalon the Death Knights infiltrate and NPCs move forward across the battlefield. You will see this concept much clearer in my photo album as you can see certain NPC's are moving from one place to another.

Blizzard obviously realized this area would be very crowded as most players will at least try out the Death Knight and finish the starting area for the lore before moving on to clearing Northrend on their main character. In addition to not only NP's moving, you do not see other players who haven't progressed as far as you have. For example a level 58 Death Knight just finishing the starting zone will not see the level 55 Death Knights who are just starting.

Once you're done with all the quests in New Avalon it's time for a final strike against the Scarlet Crusade, an attack on Light's Hope Chapel. This event is very cool where you get [cheap wow gold] to see lots of familiar faces in Warcraft lore. You get to witness Highlord Darion Mograine fight The Lich King, The Ashbringer and a family moment between The Ashbringer and Darion Mograine. Finally you get to witness The Lich King get defeated by Highlord Tirion Fordring and the Lich King vows they'll meet again but not on holy ground.

It's not that I'm not willing to talk about, it's that most of people leveling through Outland right now are Death Knights, so it is a bit difficult to fight a healer. Still, I did my fair share of tanking on Beta servers, and I played a Druid tank for years, and I'm figuring I'll do my fair share of tanking again at 80. Therefore, I decided that now is the perfect time to start getting ready to tank, even if Utgarde may be the first instance most Death Knights will get a group for.
So Wrath is upon us, and we are able to finally start leveling our Death Knights on the live servers. That's right, this time it's for keeps. I'm pretty excited about that. One thing, though, that I haven't gotten to do yet on live servers is tank a dungeon.
Let's get down to the basics:
Above all, If you haven't read Allison's Open Letter to Death Knight Tanks, you should read it now. There are some very solid basic rules about pulling and keeping aggro that any serious tank should be familiar with. Once you're back from that, we'll continue.
The first and foremost thing to wrap your mind around is that every tree can tank, at least to the 5-man Heroic level. Blood, Unholy, and Frost are all viable choices to stand up against a big bad boss or a group of elite mooks. That said, you still need to specialize if you're serious about tanking. In particular, each tree has some solid early tree tanking talents, such as Blade Barrier, Anticipation, and Toughness, which almost every build should probably pick up. Then, the tree you specialize in has late tree talents such as Vampiric Blood, Bone Shield, and Unbreakable Armor.
