Phase 3
Onyxia is back on the ground. Ideally, the MT has picked her back up and returned her to the positioning of phase 1. During the transition from phase 2 to 3, its crucial to avoid Onyxia's tail. A hit from the tail swipe can send you flying into the eggs causing more whelps to spawn. While the tank moves Ony back into place, dps should clean up any remaining whelps and move to their places as well.
Melee and healers should remain mostly in pjase 1 location hugging the edge of the room. Ranges DPS should move behind Onyxian's tail to two small hills in the southern part of the room.
During this phase, Onyxia is much like she is in phase 1 with two small additional issues to deal with. The first is that Onyxia will begin using fear. Fear ward, tremor totems, and stance dancing is advisable. This is a room wide fear as well so you can't out range it.
The last issue is that lava will spurt up out of the cracks in the ground typically at the same time as a fear in occurring; the lava will hurt any that cross into it. This is why ranged DPS should stand on the two small hills. The fear will typically not move you over any lava crack from this position. Keep up the effort and Onyxia will eventually die.
