Paladin PvE and PvP Tactics

Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

In PvE, tactics for Paladins are simple. In fact, you aggro a mob and just melee it until it dies. If you get an add it wont affect anything much but if they manage to do a significant amount of damage to you, you can always shield and heal yourself. Consecration is a great spell when this happens it helps you keep the aggro of the mob and it is more effective than if you were to only use it against a single foe. Hammer of Justice and Hammer of Wrath are good spells if you have a mob that wants to run. If you are going the Retribution build you will probably use Blessing of Might until you get Blessing of Kings, Holy tree wants to keep Blessing of Wisdom up, and Protection tree will probably be Blessing of Salvation or possibly Might, depending on the situation.
As for Auras, if you're fighting regular mobs, you want to keep Devotion Aura active. The only time it is logical to use a different Aura is if your up against elementals or casters that hit you with magic so you can resist some of the damage and when your fighting creatures that attack rapidly it might be a good idea to put on Retribution Aura if your armor is good and your already absorbing a good percent of the damage.
But in PvP, the tactics for using a paladin tend to be redundant fighting against any class. You want to stay close to them so you can hit them and use your shields whenever you need to heal.
Each PvP fight you find yourself in will be different every time. Each class you fight will fight differently because they all use different spells and abilities so the have different tactics to win. It is a battle comprised of skill and luck but there are some notable methods to killing a certain class because they are limited to the ways they can defeat you. Now we will take Druid, Hunter as example in PvP fight
For one thing, Druids can be tough to defeat because they are a jack-of-all-trades. When fighting Druids is that they will probably root you and try to spam you with Moonfire. Blessing of Freedom will break this and let you attack them a bit closer. Druids can also morph out of any stun so only stun them when they try to heal. If a Druid morphs into cat form just put your Retribution aura on and they will be fighting themselves. If they morph into bear form they will be easier as well because they will be like a Warrior. They will need to morph out of their forms in order to heal, so this is a huge indicator of when to stun them. By then you should have them running or dead. If a Druid is in caster form when they fight you they are more dangerous because they are quite effective at kiting you.
For another, Hunters are fairly simple to beat if you stay close to them they're whole thing is ranged with an annoying pet. If you match up against a hunter who thinks they are a melee class you should get a chubby because they can't and you're going to beat the snot out of them. Hunters who can keep you at a distance will definitely pose a problem for you. Their annoying pet should try to be ignored and you should chase the hunter down. If he wing clips you or dazes you, use Blessing of Freedom to stay at his heels. Since hunters can't heal, you should save your stun for when they try to flee. Some Hunters strive off of their pets and there is no real way to tell how effective their pet is until you fight them. Hunters have a talent that will make their pet unstoppable for a short duration. If you see this happen shield and heal or the pet will drop your health faster than Enron's stocks fell.
