The Healadin build focuses on making your paladin better at healing others. The build focuses on things that will help you heal to your full potential by increasing your intellect, helping you resist spell interruption caused by taking damage, increasing your healing power, increasing your critical strike chance of spells, reducing cast time, and things to help make the most of your mana. Not to mention, you also get Holy Shock and Blessing of Kings, which is very nice.
Holydin

The Holydin is sort of a mix between healer and damage dealer. Most healing speced paladins go into to the protection tree to help with their survivability but with this build you enter into the retribution tree to gain Seal of Command and increased critical strike chance with melee weapons. You still get everything you need out of the Holy tree to make the most out of your heals but you skip Blessing of Kings from the protection tree. I know this one will be popular as I hear a lot of healdins complaining they don't like their weak damage.
They are a true hybrid class, can tank, heal, or DPS.
With limited ability to do anything, but they can only do one thing well at a time.
They can wield almost any type of weapon.
Wears tough plate armor, even when healing, once they reach level 40 and can use a shield.
They provide great party and raid buffs through auras and blessings.
Shockadin

The Shockadin is becoming a pretty popular build among paladins. It's a bit of a mix between damage dealer and healadin just like the Holydin but is slightly worse at healing and but does slightly more damage. This build doesn't go all the way down to Divine Illumination which helps quite a bit in the healing category. Instead it goes more into the retribution tree and you get more attack power, critical strike chance with melee weapons, and sanctity aura. Sanctity Aura increases holy damage by 10% which is nice to have to increase your Holy Shock damage.
Paladin Strengths:
They are probably the most survivable class, being in plate armor, can heal, and can "Bubble".
They can get a free normal mount.
They can get an epix mount through a quest chain.
The best Area of Effect (AoE) tank in the game, great at holding large numbers of creatures.
They can take a lot of damage even when healing or attacking due to heavy armor.
They can protect themselves or others through the use of "Bubbles"
