In World of Warcraft, you as a Rogue or Druid have the ability to defend successfully your team's flag from capture from the other team. Killing the other team's offense completely is the only way to achieve this.
There're three ways for you defend as a Rogue. See below:
The first way is to enter stealth mode. This is very important in that when the entire defensive force uses invisibility abilities such as stealth, shadow meld or prowl, the offenders may be tricked into believing that the flag is unguarded.
The second way is to strike any offenders. A good way to start any fight is with ambush for subtlety Rogues and backstab/garotte for the combat/assassination. You will continue to hammer the attackers with high damage attacks like sinister strike and eviscerate. If your storm of damage does not slay your foe then give chase.
The third way is to give chase. If pesky invaders do manage to retrieve your flag, it is essential that you chase them down and kill them. Rogues have many tools to give chase, the most effective of which is shadowstep for subtlety rogues and sprint for all the rest. If you are giving chase alone, be sure to use stuns to incapacitate your opponent until reinforcements arrive.
There are also four ways to defend as a Druid. They are all as follows:
The first way is to enter prowl mode. Prowl mode renders you nearly invisible, lulling your opponents into a false sense of security.
The second way is to attack. The best way to do high damage is to enter cat form. Druids in cat form have many damaging abilities at their disposal including mangle, ravage, and faerie fire.
The third way is to heal. If you are specialized in restoration instead of feral, you will heal the rest of the defenders if your base is attacked by many opponents. Healing ensures that damage dealers can defeat the wave of invaders.
The fourth way is to chase. While Druids do not have as many tools to give chase as rogues do, they are still capable of pursuing an enemy. You should make certain that you can use a lot of stuns in order to halt the thieves.
