In PvE and PvP combat, the Hunter is a versatile combatant. The marksmanship talent tree is the main talent builds for Hunter's interested in PvP combat. It's a great tree for making your shots and stings more powerful, while improving their mana efficiencies in the meantime. Also you'll find some great talents that improve your AP and critical strike ratings. The PvP Hunter is most interested in doing much damage in little time, so he can kill his opponent from range before they can attack the Hunter back. After taking the necessary talents from the marksmanship tree, the PvP minded Hunter will most likely select talents from the survival tree to complete his or her build.
5/5 Lethal Shots increases your critical strike chance with ranged weapons by 5%.
Increasing your critical strike chance will drastically improve your damage dealing capabilities with your primary ranged weapon, and will allow you to put the hurt on your opponents quickly in bursts.
2/2 Improved Concussive Shot increases the duration of your Concussive Shot's daze effect by 2 seconds.
By taking this talent will give yourself an additional 2 seconds to accost your target with more damage. It also will help in making sure that your target can not flee from you.
5/5 Mortal Shots increases the critical strike damage bonus of your ranged abilities by 30%.
More damage when you deal critical strikes will allow you again to damage your opponent severely with massive burst damage.
3/3 Careful Aim increases your ranged attack power by an amount equal to 100% of your total intellect.
More ranged AP means you can deal even more damage, and intellect being an important stat for a hunter will boost your damage potential even further.
3/3 Improved Hunter's Mark increases the bonus AP granted by your Hunter's Mark ability by 30%, and reduces the mana cost of your Hunter's Mark ability by 100%.
Taking this talent will free you hunter's mark spell from any mana cost giving you no excuse not to have it up at all times. In addition, the target you mark will take even more damage from your attacks allowing you to kill them faster.
1/1 Aimed Shot is a ranged shot that increase ranged damage by 5 and reduces healing done to that target by 50%. It lasts 10 seconds.
It's a staple Hunter PvP talent. By reducing the effectiveness of an enemy's healing ability, you cripple his combat effectiveness. Healers will look for other targets to heal as to not waste their mana and the target or any healer does try to heal, the spell will be so inefficient they will soon be out of mana. With the Hunter's damage dealing ability any opponent inflicted with this status is as good as dead.
