Wrath of the Lich King will be introducing a lot of new features in World of Warcraft, such as new achievement system, Death Knights, Northrend, PvP and much much more. It makes the game experience more better and fun.
A new feature being introduced in Wrath of the Lich King is achievement system. It will work in a way like the achievement system found on the Xbox 360. There are certain predefined goals, and every time you beat one of those, you are awarded with the corresponding achievement, earning achievement points. Achievements vary from finishing certain quests, collecting a certain number of different tabards, earning so much wow gold [buy world of warcraft gold here http://www.inwowgold.com], killing so many enemy players, and even fun achievements such as doing /hug to an enemy you have killed before they release their spirit. It has not yet been announced how players will be able to spend their achievement points, or if they will at all. However, its been confirmed that finishing certain achievements will reward players with purely cosmetic items, such as tabards and vanity pets.
With the release of Northrend by its side, this is probably one of the most important new features of the expansion pack. The Death Knight will be the first Hero Class in World of Warcraft. Unlike previously said, being able to be a Death Knight will not be that difficult. Anyone who has a character level 55 or above will be able to start a new character, a Death Knight, who also starts at that level (55).
Death Knights will start in their own instanced area (areas like the questing areas of Guild Wars), and this is due to the fact that they starts in a previous moment of the time line then the server is in. When the players starts with their Death Knight, they will be aboard one of the necropolis flying above the Eastern Plague Lands, in a new addition to that area called Acherus. Players will still be sided with the Scourge when they start, and the chain of quests they will be forced to follow will eventually see them break free of its control and pledge loyalty to the newly formed Argent Crusade.
Death Knights will see thenselves serve as an hybrid who can both tank and dps. They will wear plate and be able to both dual wield and use two-handed weapons. They will tank shieldless and rely on their presence to do so effectively. Presences are like the warrior stances, and there are also three: Blood Presence, Frost Presence and Unholy Presence (these without the presence added to them, are also the three different talent trees available to the Death Knight). Blood Presence and Unholy Presence will act as DPS stances, as they both have bonuses for that. Blood Presence increases damage by 15% and returns 4% of the damage done as healing to the Death Knight, while the Unholy presence will increase attack speed by 15% and reduce the global cooldown by 0.5 seconds. The Frost Presence will be the tanking "stance", since it increases the player's armour by 45% and threat generated by 25%.
