Do you think that what is the best and fastest way to level your character? Now, anyone you ask is going to tell you one of two things: grinding is the best way or questing is the fastest way.
Those who play World of Warcraft know that grinding and questing are. But for those of you who are new or haven't even started playing yet, here's a little terminology for you. Questing is the art of doing quests provided in-game for the sole purpose of increasing your character's experience or XP and thereby increasing your character's level. Grinding is basically killing monsters or mobs that roam the lands of Warcraft and gaining XP and leveling that way. Either technique works well, but it depends on how you go about it as to how fast you level.
That being said, those are things you will go by when you are leveling up your characters in World of Warcrat. So we'll go over grinding first.
Grinding simply means that running around in an area that is close to your character's level and killing whatever happens to be running around there. These computer regenerated parts of the game will drop certain items for you and give you experience points as well, which work to level up your character. There are some good points to this method, allowing you to pick up items that you can sell on the AH and vendors in the nearby town. Using this method, you should save your money and buy the largest bags you can afford to help you in collecting items as you can grind.
Killing enemies that are higher in level will give you more experience but you may wear down your gear faster and take a greater chance of being killed during the battle. So you should take notice of your surroundings all the way and make sure that you don't draw too much attention from other enemies. It is always good to keep potions on hand to restore your health during an emergency and keep food, water with you to rebuild your energy faster in between fights. If your character has special abilities to help keep you alive during battle, use them wisely, as most have a cool-down time that will prevent you from using it too often.
Then questing is in turn. It is a method of leveling a character that involves completing the quests that are set up in the game for you. Most of these quests will give you a lot of experience, and many are a lot of fun to complete. You must ensure that you have the ability to keep plenty of food and water with you as you quest with the grinding method and sometimes it helps you to take along a group of people to complete the quest together. This part of the game is fun, allowing you to play with other members of the community. Many quests may involve the above methods of grinding because you are looking for items that certain animals drop or you may be in an area where you will be fighting to collect the quest items.
But most of the time, we have found that many players get the most enjoyment out of questing and using grinding for experience very little. If you utilize questing for most of your experience points, you'll not only get much more enjoyments from the game but you get to see much more of Azeroth.
