Leveling up weapons usually is very important. This is especially true when your weapon skill level is way below the mobs level that you miss every swing, and you are still constantly clicking away to chase them down, and in some cases, you have to wait for them to respawn. Here are a few tips on how you can level you weapons quickly.
* Instead of trying to level up your weapon skills on a mob that is on the same level as you, do it on much much lower mobs. This way you can get more skill increase without worrying about dying. Not only will you not die, your armor will wear and tear slower. Another important point to take note of is to attack mobs that are of meelee nature. This is to ensure that you will get mobs that will face you to fight head on and not run away and cast spells. With mobs that are of meelee nature, you do not have to worry about spell interrupt skills and just concentrate on auto-hit.
* If you want to level up your weapons faster, you would need to have a high amount of intelligence. Each time you want to level up your weapons, always have a full set of "intelligence" armor to change into. It is the same even if you are a warrior; change into a full outfit of intelligence armor, even if it is just cloth. You can see a significant difference in the speed of skill increase compared to when you did not wear intelligence armor.
* Have on intelligence buff, and it works on the principle of tip 2. The more intelligence you have on, the faster you will level your weapons.
* Use two different weapons if you can dual-wield. As a rogue, I would hold both dagger and swords, in case I decide to change specs in the future, I already have the weapon skill to be able to use the weapons according to my specialization without re-leveling my weapons. This way you can level both weapons really quickly as well.
* You should grind endlessly. This is very obvious but at times it eludes many players. When I wish to level my weapons, I just grind mobs one after another. This will really increase your weapon skills quickly and you can also increase your defense skill by a significant amount as you get hit more than you normally do. Therefore this is a very fast and efficient method to level up your weapons in a significant time.
