Level 80 DK Spell-Power

 As a one of the guild members in the guild tells us that their 25 man vault has at least five Death Knights and three of them have spell power gear. How the heck do you get to be 80 and not realize that spell power doesn't do anything for you? One of the guys didn't even spend all his talent points. Death Knight who is in half green half blues could get into vault easily because at least in wearing gear. It is funny to see the Death Knights running around outlands with spell power stuff on. We've given up on trying giving them advice. It's much easier and less frustrating to just giggle at them.
   Sometimes we ended up DPS tanking because he sucked that bad. We were even tempted to roll need on a tanking item that dropped but decided not to for the sake of poor unfortunate groups that have him tank in the future. We would think 55-80 would be enough time to realize what's good for your Death Knight.
   But there was a problem. Most of the people don't fully understand how to play Death Knights. It makes us mad when theirs Death Knights in spell power or in DPS gear saying they are a tank. We've not gotten to do a lot of things not in guild because we are a Death Knight and because some Death Knights are running around with spell power gear on (which spell power only helps with white magic and Death Knight do not use white magic, or so our lead DK says) and tanking Death Knights with 400 defense and about 10k armor (because they stay in blood presence or unholy presence) then we end up having to DPS tank which is annoying when a tank isn't doing their job. Currently we have an alt (a paladin) in hellfire we are seeing Death Knights die from normal fights. Now, if you were dying continuously from a stupid boar you are 1 level above, wouldn't you think you are doing something wrong? We made our Death Knight about 5 days after the expansion was released. Intellect does nothing, says so right on your character sheet, so would we choose to pick something up with +int +spir + spell power? Also when going from 55-58 in our starting area. Never ever do we get the choice of anything with +spell power. The choices we had to make were whether we wanted frost resistance or shadow resistance.  Sorry but the other day we whispered to get into "for the alliance" they were looking for DPS and heals 75+, the raid leader whispers us back. No Death knights. It's just frustrating that we need to reroll to get into non guild functions. Had we whispered on a hunter or any other class we would have been invited?
As above, you may get to know that the spell power is a must. It helps with their icy touch doing more damage and their healing spells can indeed use them too. We've had a few pieces with spell power/intellect on them that were quest rewards we believe. The only reason we equipped them was the other stats were better for us. We figure a little spell power for increased armor, stam, stre, and maybe agility isn't that big of a trade off until we get something even better.
