The Druid class in World of Warcraft gives your character shape-shifting ability. When you start playing, all your character can do is cast spells and heal. You play ten levels like this to train you how to play a caster.
You learn how to shape-shift into a bear form that gives you more armor at level 10. Bear form is the tank, which means that you have thick armor and swing show but hit hard just like an army tank. This is like turning into a Warrior.
You can gain Sea Lion, letting you swim faster and breathe under water at level 16. You also can gain cat form, letting you turn invisible at level 20. You don't have as much armor as Bear form but you hit twice as fast, and kill things much faster. This is like turning into a rogue.
In this game, there are three sets of ability charts called Talent Trees. Every time you level up, you get a talent point to put on something in one of the talent trees. The trees are Balance, which is the spell caster tree, Feral which is the tree to pump up your damage and armor in cat and bear form and Restoration which is the tree to amplify your healing spells.
When you put in enough talent points to Balance to complete the tree, you unlock Moonkin form, which transforms you into an Owlbear creature that boosts your spellcasting to rival that of a Mage or a Warlock.
If you put enough points into the Restoration talent tree to complete it, you unlock Tree of Life form. This transforms you into a tree with boosted healing capabilities.
There are quite a few options for leveling up a Druid. If you prefer killing your enemies with lightning, specializing in Balance or moonkin is decent for leveling.
Probably going Feral is the fastest way to level. After all, who doesn't like to kill monsters in ten seconds or less? Or even better, kill three or four enemies at once without dying? That's what you're capable of when you go Feral and pump up your Cat and Bear forms.
Leveling up is possible while specialized in Restoration but doing much damage is difficult and you die a lot.
It is pretty easy to level the first tem levels but after that you should get to start picking your specialization. Feral is the easiest to level. When you unlock Cat form at level 20, use it! Feral Druids rely on the Stealth ability to sneak around enemies or other players, and Cat form quickly becomes the mainstay of the Feral Druid. But don't forget to practice your Bear form, too. As you level up, you gain new abilities in both. Some Druids make the mistake of relying too much on one form or another and never learn to play the others.
What is worse, the Druid never uses their shape-shifting at all, and plays the whole game as an elf or a tauren, beating on things with their weapons and casting. It may be interesting to level but when it comes time to run dungeons or raid, this player is worse than useless.
The Druid is a slightly more advanced class than a Warrior or a Rogue. If you want to play a Druid effectively, familiarize yourself with how to play a Warrior or a Rogue. A Druid has many spells identical to both classes, and knowing how they work is a huge advantage.
