If you use the World of Warcraft professions properly, you can make a lot of wow gold for yourself. Let's break down the different types of professions you can obtain and explain which professions generally should be used together before getting into the tips and strategies.
The first is your primary professions. You are limited to learning only two primary professions. Then these can be broken down into two categories like gathering and crafting. Gathering would include Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, basically anything where you gather materials out in the world, hence the name.
The second category, crafting is your profession that you use to craft items. This includes Blacksmithing, Engineering, Leatherworking and so on. Then there's Enchanting. Enchanting is unique because it belongs to a category of its own. Not only are you not necessarily gathering anything because the way you get your materials is by disenchanting items but you also aren't crafting anything because you're putting enchant on a piece of armor or weapon to increase a certain stat. however, this is a great profession to have and can make you a ton of world of warcraft gold.
The second is the secondary professions and you can learn all three of them. They are Fishing, First Aid and Cooking. We wouldn't necessarily focus on these as being huge gold makers, but all of them have their advantages to your game play. On occasion, you can fish up a lockbox that may contain a rare or epic item in it but since the outcome is so random it's not worth your time to fish all day hoping to find an epic.
