Warhammer Leveling Guide

Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

As usual, there are two or three Public Quests. Each Public Quest is broken down into three stages. One can easily be accomplished solo, and usually consists of killing several troublesome and squishy creatures in the area. Each solo kill is worth around 100 influences so you can technically fill up your influence bar by repeating Stage 1 over and over again. Another can usually be completed solo depending on your class-type (some are tougher than others) or with a small group of two to three allies. Usually the last one needs at least one balanced group to complete, but we have seen it done many times by a strong team of two (usually a healer and a tank combo). You'll receive additional XP and influence bonuses for each PQ stage you complete.
Completing public quests nets you a fair bit of XP due to all the mobs you're grinding, as well as decent gear if you're lucky with normal drops or when rolling for the loot bags (on par with normal quest loot). The influence rewards are easily some of the best items you can get in the game, so it is beneficial to complete each PQ per chapter to maximize your effectiveness.
Most of your Realm versus Realm will be experienced in the form of scenarios. You can queue up for a scenario from anywhere in the world by clicking the icon near your minimap, so it is a good idea to remain queued while completing normal and public quests and to join the scenario whenever it pops up. Open world realm versus realm with keeps and battlefield objectives become more accessible in tiers 2, 3, and 4. The acronym for this game is WAR, so we suggest attacking members of the opposite faction at every opportunity. The ensuing fight will be more dynamic than any you could possibly experience with an NPC in any normal or public quest, so it will really help get the adrenaline flowing and reduce the feeling!
Killing a player nets you a very nice bit of XP, usually equivalent to half of a normal quest XP reward, depending on your level of contribution to the kill and how many people you are sharing the XP with. Killing other players also nets a separate pool of XP called renown. Renown allows you to buy new abilities, stat bonuses, and powerful sets of gear from certain merchants and trainers. Do not ignore renown because they are some of the best you can get in the game!
Sprinkle in Realm versus Realm scenarios and open world skirmishes whenever you feel inclined. You probably want to keep your renown rank at least 3/4 of your normal rank. A level 10 should have renown rank 7 because it will unlock great gear and abilities (sometimes even better than public quest rewards). And again, the entire point of this game is to battle your enemies. Without the Realm versus Realm, you're only experiencing half of what the game has to offer.
A player could progress from rank 1 to 40 by solely focusing on any of the above-mentioned methods individually; however, it isn't ideal for your character or your sanity. No matter which path you choose to solely focus on, it will feel like a horrible, slow grind after a while.
It is the slowest and most boring way you could progress. Your character won't be nearly as well-rounded in terms of skills and gear. Therefore, balance is the key.
To accept every normal quest, you can in a chapter and choose which one is most appealing to you. These quests give you the basic gear to remain competitive. As you complete your normal quests, you will eventually come across public quests.
Completing each PQ to the point where your influence bar is full because the rewards (XP and gear) are just too good to pass up. Then again, if you don't need the gear reward, it may not be worth your time. Also, if a certain PQ becomes boring, move on to another one in your chapter (each PQ in a chapter shares an influence pool). Do not be afraid to group in PQ because it will be much more fun and you'll be able to accomplish more than you can solo.
