When you are trying to level up a new character in World of Warcraft, you don't have to worry too much about making gold until you get well past level 40. But if you don't want to be broke all the time and want to be able to afford to skill up and take care of things you need to do to level fast, here are some WoW gold farming ideas about professions in particular.
Figuring out the best gold making methods has more to do with making sure you are in the right profession than almost anything else. In order to make more gold, it's better to have a solid profession that isn't going to cost you more than you make. And I'm talking about costing me both time and money in game. My goal is to level up as fast as possible. So any kind of crafting profession is right out. In my opinion it takes too much time to level the crafting professions and they also tend to require expensive equipment.
If you really want to be a blacksmith or get into Engineering, go for it, but if your focus is more gold and fast leveling, skip them. Expensive professions, in the long run, are just going to make you hate the game as you struggle to get them to level 375, all the while spending mountains of gold to do it. In most cases, you will actually spend more money than you make so it is a losing situation all around.
The best professions for making gold don't require too much skill and they are cheap to learn. Mining and Herbalism are both great for this. So is skinning and it is dead easy to skill up skinning. Fishing is a secondary gathering profession that is worth your time too. All four of these professions are relatively easy to skill up and you're barely notice the time you put into them. Of the four, mining may require a little more effort, but it can pay off quite well in terms of gold making.
Now the reason the gathering professions are so great is instead of having to use all of the stuff you gather: mats, ore, herbs, hides, whatever you can turn all that loot into cold hard cash at the Auction House. It's much more profitable to sell stuff than using the raw materials myself in crafting.
