Making Gold with Inscription:how you price your glyphs is an issue of concern

Author: inwowgold Source: http://www.inwowgold.com

But how you price your glyphs is an issue of concern. Let's make it clear for your information.
Firstly, you should keep track of your mats even if you're gathering the herbs yourself. You don't want to sell glyphs at a price so low that you could have made more wow gold simply selling the herbs. Milling five herbs will yield about two pigments, which will yield one ink. You'll often get more than two pigments, but two is the most common and a good number to use for estimating your prices. In general, glyphs use one or two ink to make, so to estimate your costs, find out the average price of a stack of five herbs for the type of ink you need and use that as the cost of one ink. You can choose to either use the average price of the cheapest herb used to make that ink or you can use the average price of all the herbs that are used for that type of ink. If you don't already have the Auctioneer, getting it and it will make much easier to estimate herb costs. You can figure out what each glyph costs and what price you need to list it at to make a profit once you know how much your inks cost to make.
Secondly, you need to search the AH to find out how other people are pricing their glyphs. You should undercut the lowest price even the lowest price is really high if there're other glyphs of the type you want to sell listed. Because glyphs require no deposit cost, you don't have to worry about overpricing them and losing the deposit when they don't sell. If there are no other glyphs of that type listed, you can set a high price and often make lots of profit before someone starts making that glyph as well. If you want the world of warcraft gold right now, post it for 20, but if you're willing to risk the need to repost it a few times, post it for 30 or 40 gold to see if anyone is willing to buy wow gold at that price. You'll be surprised how often people are.
It is a fact that your glyphs sometimes will sell right away and other times you'll be undercut before you make a sale. With this it's often good to post your glyphs for only 24 hours at a time, unless you're the only scribe selling that glyph. If you are undercut soon after you post it, you'll be able to repost it and sell it sooner than if you posted it for 48 hours. It's important that you avoid making too many of any one glyph at a time. While there is a high demand for glyphs, they don't sell quickly as stacks of ore or cloth. If you make too many at a time, you'll be undercut before they all sell and have to repost them many times, often at lower prices, before they sell out. It's much better to make a few copies of many different glyphs than to make many copies of one glyph. You can make two to three of any glyph you want to sell at a time, unless you're using it to increase your skill level, in which case it's reasonable to make five.
With the time passing by, you'll discover which glyphs sell for good prices on your realm. Some will never be profitable and others will make you piles of gold. You should keep track of the glyphs that sell well so you can be sure to have a few of those posted on the AH and make a list of the most profitable ones to help you keep track. You should also keep track of the herbs you're purchasing to make your inks. There will be times when a certain herb floods the market for really cheap, and if you know the usual price for it, you'll know to buy it up at the cheap price even if you won't use it all away since you'll use it at last and save a lot of gold in the long run. Auctioneer is great for tracking prices of different items.
Note that you are going to need lots of bag space with so many inks, pigments and glyphs. For example, the Pack of Endless Pockets is the bag for Inscription materials, which is usually the cheapest profession-specific bag available. With 32 slots and often selling for under 20 gold, it's well worth investing in some of these once you start making a lot of different glyphs to sell at the AH. You'll probably have tons of herbs on hand, so it would be worth investing in an Herbalism bag. They're more expensive but you can afford one quickly with all the profits you're making.
As above, that's all you need to know to start making gold with Inscriptions.
