Is this the first time you play World of Warcraft? Do you play it for a while and it just seems like you are not getting anywhere? Never have the gold you need or want? So now we take this chance to give you some playing tips that help you level faster and make plenty of wow gold for mounts, gear and other goodies.
If you are starting a new character, you should pick up every quest in the starting area that is available to you before heading out. The more time you can spend in the field questing, the faster you will level. As you loot your spoils, make sure that equip every piece of gear you pick up, even if it's not what you want to wear, sometimes even a cloth piece has more armor than the initial gear Blizzard starts you out with. Remember that you need to sell everything you loot, try not to throw anything away as every bit of copper can help as you start out. Never repair! It is a waste of money as you will soon replace items until you get to around level 10 or so. You should keep an eye on your gear if it turns yellow, repair.
A great way to enhance your playing experience is addons. Blizzard has done a lot to improve the user interface, but lacks some basic information in an easy format. If you are starting out, the first 2 are Carbonite Quest and Auctioneer; those are 2 primary, almost necessary addons that are a player must. Carbonite provides you with a small map you can display that will show you where the quest objectives are, no searching the net or asking someone. It's all there for your enjoyment.
Auctioneer is an addon that allows a better Auction House interface. If you are looking to buy something, it will show you the percentage of market value the item is selling for. The same if you are selling an item, it can help you decide what price to sell the item at. Most of the time, you can underbid someone by a few percent and have a better chance of selling it.
The second way is to find groups. Obtaining points by killing mobs and completing objectives is the theory of leveling. You can share the points you gain with others in the group if you group with them. But this is not very good. Most of the quests, especially starting quest, can be done solo with no problems. As long as you play smart and don't draw too many mobs at once. You share the loot, meaning that there is a reduction in the world of warcraft gold you acquire.
But there are some exceptions. The quests out there are labeled group, usually that is because it is an Elite with extra hit points and damage abilities, or multiple mobs that can kill you faster than you can kill them. So in those cases, you'll want to find a friend to help you out.
The third way is to choose professions. Professions are a great way to earn money on the side. There are a few types of professions available like gathering, crafting, Alchemy and Enchanting. A gathering profession is just that, it allows you to gather materials for crafting, enchanting and alchemy materials. Crafting professions allow you to make items like armor and weapons.
Two gathering professions might be the way to go if this is your first character, you can make more from auctioning the materials rather than trying to auction a low level crafting item and when you have plenty of gold and are high enough to make items that are profitable, you can drop one of your gathering professions and picking a crafting profession.
You should take close notice of the items displayed with colored names, green, blue and purple. These indicate better quality items, and if not useful to you, they can bring in gold on the AH. Green items are considered common, blue is superior, and purple indicates epic. As you grind your way to 80, you will receive many greens, most you will sell, blues are usually boss rewards in instances, and purples come from the big guys in raiding or the last boss of an instance.
We hope that you will enjoy the whole experience better if you are well funded in gold and you are knowledgeable about the game.
